Current Rescues: (updated 1/25/12)
Northern CA 1/25/12) – On to Thiri herself. If you don't know about the breed Burmese, PLEASE take some time to do some research before going any further. Their history is wonderful and people who own Burmese are true fans. Thiri is text-book Burmese. She is very compact and small-weighing in at 7lbs. She has a thick and soft coat, round face and HUGE, round eyes that are an incredible shade of gold. She has a funny little meow that sounds like an old man who's lost his voice. This is all infamous to Burmese. She also LOVES warmth. She sleeps snuggled underneath the covers with you each and every night and wouldn't have it any other way. Unless, of course you have a heating pad plugged in on the couch. There's nothing better.
Thiri is sweet, playful (feathers are by far her favorite) but she is still very low maintenance. She loves her human and can become very depressed without them. She wants to be your number one but might share if it's the very best situation. Thiri was very much okay with the resident Chihuahua (who is very quiet) but wasn't pleased when another foster Chihuahua came into the house. Although this dog was 1/4 of her size, she became very sad that the dog needed more attention than her so here we are...Searching for her very special person. Thiri would be fine with children of all ages and is easy to handle and is happy to be held.
Thiri is spayed, microchipped, up to date on core vaccinations, FeLV/FIV negative and has passed a full blood panel with flying colors. She is beautiful, affectionate and full of charm and personality.
We are posting this special girl as a courtesy to No More Boundaries Animal Rescue. They will charge an adoption fee to cover their expenses.
No More Boundaries will be seeking a perfect home for this special girl. She gets along with small dogs that are respectful of cats. An only cat home is preferred but Megan might consider a home where there is one other cat.
Interested parties should contact Megan at mhnelson@mac.com if you are interested I suggest you act quickly.
To be loved & owned by a senior cat is one of life's greatest pleasures and privileges.
Since July 2000, NABB has directly assisted in the placement of more than 500
Burmese. We are proud to have helped so many wonderful Burmese!
